Now more than ever, women are traveling to different parts of the world alone. Reports from the Travel Industry Association showed that over 30 million women from the USA travel alone per year. And rightfully so, this is 2021, and the world should be a lot safer for women. However, the reality, unfortunately, is that we’ve still got a long way to go.
In an article published by The New York Times, there was a piece on women traveling alone, and one in particular was Carla Stefaniak, who was killed while vacationing in Costa Rica. While there have been calls on authorities and relevant agencies to look into these problems, there is a need to educate people on the countries that have proven dangerous for women, especially when they’re.

I have personally traveled to many countries with female companions, and I can assure you that my presence alone made all the difference. Whether we were deep in the jungle of Costa Rica, or roaming the streets of Rio De Janeiro, it was apparent. With that being said, those responsible for such cowardly crimes against women are not the type of men who want confrontation. They prey on the weak and seek to exploit simple mistakes made by solo women, that if avoided won’t give them a chance to act.

It is important to understand that there are many lists regarding this topic, and you will find different countries on these lists.
